Classes at Frenchay

In September 2022 Frenchay Primary increased its capacity from 140 to 210 children. As a result children will begin working in single year group classes rather than the mixed age classes previously utilised. Each class has space for 30 children.

We currently have space in some of the KS2 classes as a result of the expansion. If you would like to consider a place at Frenchay, please contact the admissions team at South Glos.

Due to the expansion of the school the children in the school council have selected new class names which are based on woodland animals. This them has been chosen to reflect our location next to the conservation woodland area in Frenchay.

Ladybird class: Reception
Robin Class: Year 1
Squirrel Class:  Year 2
Rabbit Class: Year 3
Hedgehog Class: Year 4
Owl Class: Year 5
Fox Class: Year 6

When the local area requires further school places the school will expand once more to a 2 form entry school. The speed in which this occurs will be dependent on the needs of the local area and in consultation with the LA.
