This is an important day as the information collected by the Department for Education is used to help calculate funding for schools. One of the factors considered is the number of children who choose a school meal on Census Day. The more children who have a meal provided by our school kitchen, the greater the funding support the school may receive. We would therefore be very grateful if, on this day, you could order a school lunch for your child. It does not matter which option they choose; every school meal ordered helps to support our school. All children in Reception and Key Stage 1 (years 1 and 2) are entitled to a free school meal, so this is a wonderful opportunity to help the school at no additional cost to families.
